ABOUT PARATY AND COSTA VERDE REGION
Set in the southern tip of the State of Rio de Janeiro, amid peninsulas, pristine beaches and remote islands, with a backdrop of steep jungled mountains, Paraty is one of the best-preserved historical gems.
Ideal for water sports and outdoor activities, its calm waters offer swimmers a unique opportunity to train while enjoying the beauty of the lush Atlantic Forest. Dozens of pristine islands are within a couple of hours reach by swimming.
Customized crossings
Tailored distances and routes according to your level!
Your Swimming Experience includes Stand Up Paddle or kayak escorting, snacks and hydration, videos and feedback on your swimming technique.
Optional boat tours with transportation to outer islands and other swimming routes can be arranged upon request at an additional fee.
There will always be at least 2 team members during your experience, a seasoned swimmer who will swim along with you, and a backup team member.

Meet the Team
Jorge Zapata
swimmer - guide
Originally from Colombia, Jorge represented his home state during his teenhood participating in numerous national and international swimming tournaments. He was also a member of his university´s swimming team, which granted him an athletic scholarship throughout his career. He moved to Paraty, Brazil in 2011 and since then has actively participated in open water swimming events in the region. He was first placed in the X-Terra Paraty, Brazil leg in his category in 2021. He trains daily with a community of local swimmers and triathletes.
Marco Grespan

Born in São Paulo, Marco started his contact with swimming as a child to treat asthma problems. He participated in several tournaments and tryouts for the SESI 12 swimming team – Vila das Mercês (São Paulo). During his teens and adulthood, swimming became his favorite hobby and passion. In 2012, he started crossing dams and seas, participating in amateur tournaments, and standing out on the podium in his category in events of up to 7km.
